The Founding of WINiT
WINiT was formed in January 2014, by Michelle (Mick) Lee, a 25+ year veteran of the travel, events and meetings industry executive and long-term service and talent optimization leader. Her vision for the organization was to help women appreciate the power they already have, find their voice and reach their full potential by providing access to the necessary tools, resources and networks.
WINiT Launches in 2014
In July 2014, the first WINiT Summit took place in Los Angeles, CA. Over 400 women and men in the industry attended, marking the official launch of WINiT. Influential industry leaders took the stage and confirmed the need of WINiT and their support.
What to Expect in 2018
The WINiT Summit continues to serve as a pinnacle event for women and men in the travel, meeting, event and exhibition industries. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn about critical career development issues and topics for women within these industries. Attendees of the WINiT Summit 2018 will hear from leaders from within and outside the industries WINiT represents on a variety of topics – educational, provocative, and inspirational.
